About The Ford Mustang Mach-E

Ford has made a wide variety of Mustang variants over the years, but none have ever been as massive a shakeup as the Mach-E. This all-electric crossover with sports car proportions delivers all of the excitement that the Mustang name suggests, but in a totally new way. It does a sub-4-second dash from 0 to 60, and the MagneRide Damping System lets you carve corners with vigor. This mix of crossover, performance machine, and EV means that you don’t have to compromise anything to get what you want in a vehicle. The interior is comfortable and spacious, with an emphasis on the incredible technology that went into making the Mach-E. The all-electric drivetrain offers an impressive maximum range of 312 miles, or you can select the Performance Edition and get 480 horsepower and 634 lb-ft of torque. It’s all you could want in a Mustang and more.

What the Critics Say

"Along with its attention-getting appearance, the Mach-E has a handsomely appointed interior that’s brimming with the latest tech. It also has nifty storage solutions, a spacious back seat, and lots of cargo space. Get behind the wheel and the electrified Mustang feels agile and quick. The sportiest version hits 60 mph in 3.7 seconds (quicker than a Mustang Mach 1) and the rangiest versions are estimated to travel more than 300 miles per charge." — Car and Driver

"The Mach-E accelerates swiftly and silently, and it offers up to 305 miles of driving range on a full charge. It’s relaxing to drive on Main Street yet fun to pilot on winding roads, and its luxe cabin provides generous seating space and cargo room. This Ford also boasts an easy-to-use infotainment system and lots of driver assistance features, including BlueCruise, which is a hands-free driving mode." — U.S. News & World Report

What’s New For 2023

Several changes have arrived for 2023, and they’re all good news. For starters, there are two new paint colors, Carbonized Gray Metallic and Vapor Blue Metallic. The panoramic sunroof is now included as standard equipment on the GT, and there is a new Nite Pony appearance for the Premium and GT trims, with several black exterior accents and unique black wheels. More electric range has been added to several configurations too, with the Standard Range battery growing from 70kW to 72kW. That means eAWD configurations with this battery are up to 226 miles of range, and RWD models are up to 250 miles. The Premium trim with the Extended Range battery and eAWD has also received a bump of 13 miles, taking it up to a total of 290.

Ford Mustang Mach-E Features

Ford Mustang Mach-E

Bold Styling

The Mustang Mach-E brings some excitement to the world of crossovers. Not just with its blisteringly fast performance, but also with its unique styling. The bodywork incorporates a number of classic Mustang elements, like the sequential taillights, together with sleek and modern crossover styling. The long hood, a Mustang feature since the beginning, covers a front storage compartment with 4.8 cubic feet of storage space. It’s also waterproof and has a drain plug, so it can be used as a cooler. The back seat has more space than you’re used to finding in a performance machine, and behind the back seats is a generous 29.7 cubic feet of cargo space. That’s quite a lot for any crossover in this segment. Stylish 18-inch wheels come standard, and wheels up to 20 inches are available. LED exterior lighting rounds off the modern look, not to mention the added bonus of making it easier to see in the dark.

Ford Mustang Mach-E

Genuine Mustang Performance

The Mach-E is available with either a Standard Range or Extended Range battery pack, and in either RWD or eAWD. Depending on the setup, horsepower ratings range from 266 to 480. Since eAWD gets power to all four wheels by adding a second electric motor, configurations equipped with it produce more power, as do configurations with the Extended Range battery. This being an electric vehicle, torque numbers are even higher, ranging from 317 lb-ft to 634 lb-ft. The GT Performance Edition comes with 480 horsepower, 634 lb-ft of torque, and can hit 60 mph from a dead stop in just 3.8 seconds. Range depends on your configuration as well, with eAWD models with the Standard Range battery getting an EPA-estimated 224 miles, and California Route 1 models reaching an estimated 312 miles, with all the rest of the configurations falling somewhere in between. But whichever setup you go with, DC fast charging is available, making it possible to go from 10 to 80 percent charge in 38 to 45 minutes. A full charge from 0% on a home 240V charger takes approximately 10.9 hours.

Mustang Mach-E Interior

High Tech Interior

The interior of the Mach-E puts a strong emphasis on technology. The fully digital 10.2 gauge cluster is customizable, as is the color of the LED ambient lighting. The Mach-E comes with Ford’s SYNC® 4 infotainment system, which features wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and is controlled via a huge 15.5-inch vertically-mounted touchscreen that makes things like reading maps extra easy. You can also use it to control the stereo, including the available B&O® Sound System by Bang & Olufsen® with 10 Speakers Including Subwoofer. There is a 360-degree camera for negotiating tight spaces, and other electronic aids like Intersection Assist, which looks out for oncoming traffic even in situations where your view is obscured. And most advanced of all is the semi-autonomous BlueCruise 1.2, which allows for hands-free driving on 130,000 miles of prequalified divided highways.
